the store known today as Frishman’s began humbly as a small shop on Burke
Avenue in the Bronx, expanding five times over the years into successive new
locations and ultimately landing (in 1994) in the opulent 5,000+ square foot
former bank building that the store currently occupies.

Frishman’s today, operated by the
original founder’s daughter, Sandi Simon, is a New York City institution,
visited from far and wide by customers from all walks of life, desiring
cutting-edge fashion savvy, “old-fashioned” service and a super-satisfying
selection of products.
Most recently, Frishman’s
has brought its

wide
selection and service attitudes to the Internet to the delight of customers
worldwide. Sandi Simon virtually grew up in
aisles and behind the counter of the family store, eventually assuming its
management and all-the-while teaching her daughters the ways of the intimate
wear business. Today, Frishman's continues under Sandi's stewardship while her
|
daughter Becky operates the Bra Smyth of California catalogue house and daughter
Diana runs the Bra Smyth Madison Avenue retail shop in Manhattan. "We all got hooked by the bra
business at an early age," says the Simon family, "and it's been
supporting 3 generations of women!"
